I’m a Senior BACP Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist, and have been Accredited since 1993, with 30 years experience in private practice, the NHS and university sector.

As a therapist I’m interested in making sense of your difficulties, and helping you to find meaning and solutions to problems. I believe the quality of the therapeutic relationship is vital to help you feel heard and understood, and to enable you to overcome your difficulties.

My approach is integrative with a strong psychodynamic base, and I draw on over 25 years experience of offering cognitive behavioural therapy and other approaches.

In addition to my private practice, I worked for 11 years in the NHS, including creating and managing a local counselling service for 13 GP practices. I also have 16 years experience managing a large counselling service and as a senior manager, in the university sector at the London School of Economics. More recently I have also worked as a counsellor with the University of Westminster and also the London Business School, and am currently a Trustee for both BlindAid and RSASS. I have also worked for many years as a trainer and core trainer on the CPPD BACP Accredited counselling course.

First steps

Please look through this website to find out more about counselling and how it can help you.

As a first step, you are welcome to arrange a free initial 15 minute conversation on the phone or zoom before starting therapy. Please get in touch if you would like to arrange this.

Many people may not be sure exactly what they want or need in therapy. I see a first meeting as a chance to think together about your difficulties, and work out what kind of help will be most helpful for you.

You are welcome to get in touch to make a preliminary enquiry.
