Professional background

I’ve offered counselling and psychotherapy to hundreds of people in private practice, numerous GP surgeries in the NHS, hospital based clinical psychology departments and in the university sector at LSE (London School of Economics), University of Westminster and the London Business School.

I’ve also managed a large NHS counselling service in South London, and have been the Head of Counselling and then Head of Student Wellbeing at LSE, managing a team of 30 counsellors, mental health advisers and disability advisers for 16 years.

I have worked for many years as a trainer and core trainer on the CPPD BACP Accredited counselling course, and have also worked as a Trustee for the BlindAid Charity.

Qualifications

• BACP Senior Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist (Snr. MBACP, initial accreditation in 1993)
• Senior Accreditation formally aligned within the new SCoPEd Framework 2025
• MSc from Birkbeck College/ British Association of Psychotherapists 1999
• Diploma in Clinical Supervision from CPPD 2002
• Postgraduate Diploma from the Tavistock Centre 2005
• Certificate in Diversity, Culture and Race from The Anti-Discrimination Focus (TADF) 2023
